After the Bird Burn (Post Thanksgiving Fat Burning Workout)

I hope you had a great Thanksgiving! As much as we look forward to thanksgiving and all the delicious food, a part of us is hoping it won’t set us too far back of our fitness goal. Don’t worry if you had an extra piece of grandma’s special pie. I have a workout for you that will help you burn those extra thanksgiving calories and keep you right on track.

Want to burn 300 calories in 20 minutes? This 20-minute HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) workout will help you to do just that with a combination of some of the best exercises for burning calories.

This is a high intensity fat burning workout that is simple but challenging. If you want to get rid of that post-thanksgiving dinner guilt, give this 20-minute cardio workout a try and see how much you can push yourself.

There are 5 exercises in this calorie burning workout. Actually, each of the moves in this 20-minute HIIT routine is a combo move but I break them out into exercise groups so that you get the most bang for your buck.

For each of the moves in this fat burn workout you’ll do 50 seconds of work followed by 10 seconds of rest before moving on to the next exercise. If you are a beginner shoot for 1-2 rounds of this fat burning workout. If you are more advanced, you should try to do a full 4 rounds of this intense cardio workout for a total of a 20-minute HIIT routine.

20-Minute Fat Burning Workout

Alternating Split Jump Lunge

50 secs

5 reps of push ups then 10 reps mountain climbers

Repeat sequence for 50 secs

Burpee to High Knees

5 burpees then 10 reps of high knees

Repeat sequence for 50 secs

Squat Jumps to Jumping Jacks

5 squat jumps then 5 jumping jacks

Repeat sequence for 50 secs
